Integrated Systems Russia 2017 - the only show for audiovisual, information and communication technologies in Russia and CIS - took place at the Moscow Expocentre from October 31 to November 2.
This year 12,903 people have attended the exhibition, which is 9% more than the number of guests last year (11,836 people).
Integrated Systems Russia exhibition demonstrated its readiness for a qualitative transformation – that is the transition from demonstration of only equipment to complex AV and IT solutions for various sectors of the economy implementation of which could be seen both at the stands of the exponents and within the framework of current installations reflecting operating scenarios of real objects. «We are trying to respond to the market changes promptly and we see the development of Integrated Systems Russia and HI-TECH BUILDING exhibitions namely in the sphere of ready-made solutions demonstration that will attract additional attention of customers from government and business to the events», – says Daria Petrova, the Deputy Director General of Midexpo exhibition company.
Taking into consideration current trends the organizers have developed business program in accordance with the needs of various vertical markets this year. Twelve multidirectional events among which there were conferences, round tables, seminars and private meetings occupied 5 conference halls of the Expocentre exhibition centre and allowed to discuss technologies implementation for various vertical markets.
For representatives of retail industry “Digital Signage in retail” conference was organized supported by Redis Crew, Popai Russia, Invidis consulting. In the first part the leading market analysts from Popai Russia, invidis consulting, Redis Crew, Video Planning, MyAdbooker, Yandex, Rostelecom PJSC and AddReality discussed the effectiveness of using Digital Signage and DooH for retail industry, market development drivers and retarding vectors. According to the speakers there is expanding and in the near future Digital Signage solutions will be integrated into the urban environment everywhere. During discussion on digital technologies in retail-marketing the representatives of Addreality, Intel, Rostelecom PJSC, Yandex, Mail.Ru Group, Publicis Media Russia, Spinetix, L’Etoile, LG, IMS considered issues of Big Data and optimizing marketing budget in retail, discussed actual ways of communication with a purchaser on the examples of implemented cases. Thus according to Rostelecom PJSC representatives, Digital Signage instruments are the most effective in retail chains and will become the leaders of this industry within 6 years. Practical case from L’Etoile company confirmed that idea, after implementation of Digital Signage instruments sales of makeup cosmetics grew by 35%.
Separate exposition Digital Signage Area - a joint stand of the world leading manufacturers and Russian distributors - was created for demonstration of the equipment and DS solutions. Solutions for retail were also represented within the Digital shop and Smart Digital Café installations as well as at other stands of the exponents on which daily technological tours were run.
Another conference “Digital Museum. Innovative technologies for museums and exhibition areas” was organized for museums and exhibition areas representatives. Among the speakers: non-profit organization ADIT, ICOM of Russia, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Polytechnic Museum, the State Tretyakov gallery, the Kazan Kremlin, the State Hermitage, the Darwin Museum, the Museum of Russian Impressionism representatives as well as the representatives of Apatit, Research and Development Centre Gazpromneft corporate museums and leading equipment and service suppliers. Among the raised questions are the opportunities of using the technologies of virtual and augmented reality in the museums for scientific and educational work, IT Services tools for improving informational availability of the exposition, necessity to introduce new methods of digitizing and 3D print.
Organizers have also prepared a special tour through the current Digital museum installation and related stands as well as the offsite excursion to the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center
The Hotel and Catering business representatives were suggested to take part at the Future Technologies for HoReCa objects Conference. Besides the development of innovations and practice of technologies implementation there also were discussed hotel marketing issues which nowadays shall be based on a serious big data analytics. One was able to see the technologies in action on site within the Smart hotel and Smart Digital Café installations.
Architects and designers of commercial and residential real estate were interested in attending the event which had already become an integral part of the exhibition business program – the Smart Design School as well as the Smart House and Smart Hotel actual installations. Is it necessary for a designer to understand the modern technologies and offer them to a client? Are there any budget-oriented solutions for implementation into residential and commercial interiors? How can technologies blend in fashionable designer projects? Is an installer a contractor or a partner? The school represents a mix of speeches made by famous designers, architects, project developers who share their knowledge in the modern technology sphere and cases of its integration into real-life objects.
In 2017 within the framework of the exhibition the organizers emphasized professional audio technologies theme and prepared a separate ProAudio installation. Within the framework of the business program a new event called Audiosummit was also devoted to this topic; the event gathered top Russian sound producers and audio community specialists for exchange of experience and establishment of an open dialogue with suppliers. It was nice that legendary John and Helen Meyer, the owners of the Mayer Sound Company, opened the first Audiosummit; they gave an opening speech in honor of the 50th anniversary of their career in the ProAudio industry. During the reports session analytic data were presented; tendencies and market development opportunities were discussed, as well as practical cases and unique solutions for various objects. There were different opinions, each speech caused comments of the audience – the Audiosummit turned into a discussion site and proved the importance of such communication which will obviously continue at the Integrated Systems Russia next year.
To reinforce theatrical skills and to provide comfortable orientation in the technological world there were organized technological tours at the exhibition for attendees which corresponded to a topic of a certain conference.
Another Integrated Systems Russia 2017 novelty is the AVIXA and KNX Professional Associations Day. Avixa, Pam Taggart and KNX representatives as well as Casto Cañavate made reports and shared figures of the AV and IT markets as well as building automation markets, and spoke about association development strategy and plans for the future.
